Influenced in part, by a visit to a Titanic exhibition, and a quiz question about Benjamin Franklin, a long held dream of producing my own music began taking shape in March 2022.

In the summer of 2023 Experiments & Observations on Electricity released a debut album.

My inspiration stemmed from bands like Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Jean-Michel Jarre, early Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and a multitude of electronic and ambient artists from more recent times, including Fuck Buttons and Tim Hecker.

"An Overwhelming Sense of Sadness" my first composition, was conceived amidst the poignant atmosphere of a Titanic exhibition, leading to a burst of creativity and a foray into music production. The project's inception marked a significant turning point driven by a newfound passion and dedication, resulting in a musical journey of self-discovery and one that will hopefully resonate with listeners.

As the new year kicked in, EOE blearily blinked a few times and decided it was time to start raising the profile of Experiments & Observations on Electricity.

Reading that that Dundee Radio Club was staging a marathon listening festival on their station in late February, start of March, I submitted Movement 2.25 from the Ascended album, and happily it was accepted.

It was featured in the rather unfashionable 4am to 8am slot, and my name was used not my project name, which was a tad frustrating!

Nevertheless it was great being featured, so many thanks to the good people from the Dundee Radio Club for playing my track.
